Perhaps one day Alex will fulfill a childhood dream of joining the Toronto Maple Leafs, by helping them further optimize their compliance with the NHL’s salary cap. In the meantime, he is happy to guide clients through the comparatively straightforward rules of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
Profile
Alex advises Fortune 500 companies and other large employers on a wide range of retirement plan, executive compensation, and health and welfare plan matters. He also writes frequently on these issues as the founder of IPB’s Benefits Bullets and for industry publications. Clients especially appreciate Alex’s clear communication, creativity, and comprehensiveness.
Alex received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Business Law Review and the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. At Harvard, Alex was the recipient of numerous Dean’s Scholar Prizes, including in Legal Research and Writing, where his work product was selected as a model for future students. He also completed internships in the tax groups of two other nationally recognized law firms, and previously worked as a realtor in Toronto.
