On Monday, April 18, 2016, Ivins, Phillips & Barker, in collaboration with Bloomberg BNA, hosted a full-day symposium on the latest developments impacting the research and development tax credit under section 41 of the Internal Revenue Code and best practices for claiming and documenting the research credit and defending research credit claims on audit. The symposium was held at the Union Square Marriott in San Francisco, CA.
Leading practitioners and thought leaders will review current issues being raised by the Internal Revenue Service and regulations recently proposed and issued by the Treasury Department regarding the research credit and the impact that these recent developments will have on taxpayers.
