Charlotte Hopson Serves on Taxation of Partnerships Panel

IPB associate Charlotte P. Hopson presented for the ABA eCLE Webinar Series of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section event held on December 13. David H. Kirk, a Tax Partner and leader of the Private Tax group of Ernst & Young’s National Tax Department in Washington, DC, joined Charlotte as a co-panelist.

The panelists discussed partnership contributions, basis, liabilities, distributions and withdrawals, and the retirement or death of a partner. The discussion following the presentation allowed audience members to learn more about commonly encountered issues in the taxation of partnerships in the estate planning context.
