2023 Chambers USA Guide Recognizes Four IPB Partners Individually, As Well As Tax And Benefits Practices
PDFChambers and Partners has released its 2023 Chambers USA guide to top US lawyers and firms, recognizing IPB attorneys Les Schneider, Kevin O'Brien, Jodi Epstein, and Steve Witmer.
Les Schneider, co-head of the IPB Tax practice, has been recognized as among the premier US tax attorneys since the inception of the Chambers guides. The editors note that Les "is held in high regard for his vast knowledge of tax accounting." A client comments, "Working with Les is a pleasure, his broad and significant experience and knowledge base are incredibly helpful."
Kevin O'Brien, head of our Benefits & Compensation practice, has been recognized by Chambers since 2009. Clients call Kevin "a real thought leader," and note that he is an expert they rely on for his "deep knowledge, especially in the context of strategy and design, as well as understanding potential risk."
Chambers reports that our Benefits & Compensation partner Jodi Epstein, recognized since 2019, "offers particular expertise advising on qualified benefit plans." Clients say, "Jodi is thoughtful, clever and practical in her advice."
Steve Witmer, also a partner in our Benefits & Compensation practice, is singled out as "an experienced adviser for preeminent clients on a range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including those arising out of corporate transactions." Clients say, "Steve's experience in benefits contract negotiations is unparalleled."
In addition to these individual accolades, Chambers USA also recognized IPB's Tax practice for the 20th year in a row, praising a team that, "Demonstrates strength across a number of sub-practice areas, including tax controversy and accounting methods," and a client notes that, "The team combines outstanding technical expertise with excellent business acumen."
Our Benefits & Compensation practice was also highlighted as, "Highly respected for its provision of robust assistance on issues such as executive compensation, pension plan derisking, cash balance design and qualified plans." Clients say, "Ivins Phillips has a team with a highly specialized skill set and a really sophisticated level of practice."
Our Estate Planning practice is also recognized by Chambers, in the most recent (2022) edition of its High Net Worth Guide, released last summer.
Congratulations to all!
