Jonathan Zimmerman and Spencer Walters Speak re Executive Compensation and FICA Issues

Jonathan Zimmerman and Spencer Walters collaborated on a presentation following the TEI Richmond chapter’s annual golf outing on May 18, 2016.  Their presentation, “Hot Topics in Executive Compensation and Employment Tax,” covered challenges employers face with operating non-qualified deferred compensation plans, including FICA tax treatment and Section 409A errors. The presenters led a particularly lively discussion with the chapter members about fringe benefit issues, including local lodging rules and personal use of corporate aircraft.
