Jamie Brown Speaks on IRS Audits of Midsize Businesses

On October 11, 2018, Ivins attorney Jamie Brown presented a webinar to over 600 tax, accounting and finance professionals on the defense of IRS audits of midsize businesses. In recent years the IRS has shifted its focus from audits of the largest corporations to what it calls the “middle market,” including through several “campaigns” directed specifically at large partnerships, LLCs treated as partnerships for tax purposes, and S corporations. The webinar focused on the strategic implications of newer IRS approaches including the Appeals Judicial Approach and Culture Project and Acknowledgement of Facts IDRs.
